Dial In

Every stage of the chain. Real units.

Presets get you started. Dial In gets you there — the whole signal path opens into one panel, ten stages from gate to master gain, each with the parameters an engineer would actually reach for.

The signal path

Ten stages, one panel.

The same chain the Feelings presets run on — exposed end to end. Tweak one stage or rebuild the whole thing.

01

Gate & compressor

Tame the hiss, glue the pick attack — threshold and ratio in real units.

02

Drive

The distortion stage: from edge-of-breakup grit to saturated lead.

03

Tape preamp

Analog warmth before the amp — saturation that sits under the fingers.

04

EQ

Sculpt the body: cut the mud, push the mids, air on top.

05

Filter

Wah-style sweeps and resonant shaping for textures.

06

Chorus

Width and shimmer — subtle thickening to full 80s swirl.

07

Bitcrusher

Lo-fi destruction when a tone should sound like a broken sampler.

08

Delay

Slapback to ambient trails, synced to your playing.

09

Reverb

Room to hall — the space your amp is standing in.

10

Master gain

Stage-by-stage gain staging, ending at the output trim.

Who it's for

When a preset is 90% right.

A preset gets you close fast. Then you want the delay a touch darker, the drive a notch lower, the gate a hair tighter. Dial In is that last 10% — or the whole thing, if you'd rather start from silence.

  • Questions

What is the Dial In module?

Dial In is SOWND’s full effects-chain editor. Every stage of the signal path — compressor, drive, tape preamp, EQ, filter, chorus, bitcrusher, delay, reverb and master gain — opens as a panel with real parameters and real units, so you can build a tone from scratch instead of picking a preset.

Is Dial In a one-time purchase?

Yes — €19.99 once, yours forever on your account. It is also included free with every All Access plan, which additionally unlocks all tone packs and the Record studio.

Do I need to install anything?

No. Dial In runs in the browser on the same WebAssembly DSP engine as the rest of SOWND — no plugin, no download, works on Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari.

Can I save sounds I design in Dial In?

Yes — the save button snapshots the whole chain (macros plus every Dial In position) into your Custom presets, which sync to your account and appear in your Library and My Rig.

    Is there a free trial?

The Feelings room with 11 hand-dialed tones is free forever — guests included. Dial In itself is a paid module; with All Access you get it plus everything else, cancellable anytime.

Start free. Open the panel when you're ready.

Eleven tones are free forever — play them first, buy the editor when a preset stops being enough.
