Privacy

What we collect, why, and how to make it stop.

What we store

Account email (if you create one), your rig and tone card, purchase history and entitlement state, and daily check-in dates for streaks. Audio never leaves your machine — the engine runs locally in your browser, and recordings stay on your device unless you export them.

We collect minimal, anonymised usage stats (which page, which pack was auditioned) to keep the product honest.

Where it lives

Account and entitlement data is hosted in the European Union (Supabase, eu-west-1). Payments are processed by Stripe, which acts as its own controller for payment data.

We do not sell your data, run ad trackers, or listen to your audio. There is no microphone uplink — audio is processed entirely on-device. Payment card data never touches our servers.

Your rights

Export or erase your data yourself from your rig page (Account → Download my data / Delete account). Export produces a JSON file with everything we hold; deletion removes the account, rigs, streaks and entitlements permanently.

You can also email privacy@sownd.tech for access, rectification or objection requests. You may lodge a complaint with the CNIL.
